The Rocklyn Agricultural Society, is a big part of the community, as they pull together and run many events in the area. One of there biggest events is the Rocklyn Fall Fair. The Rocklyn Fall Fair has been a mainstay within the community since 1867. It has changed over the years, but still remains a very vibrate and busy fair. It has something for the whole family, crops, livestock, baking, preserving, gardening both vegetable and flower, arts & crafts, handcrafts knitting, sewing, crocheting and quilting. The day of the fair is full of lots of things as well, the baby show, pet show, bicycle show, goat show, horse show, mini tractor pull, apple pie baking contest, silent auction, 4-H calf shows and invitational, just to name a few. There is all of the entries to look at, or event to watch, stop for lunch, which is being cooked and manned by the many volunteers that keep making the fair a success year after year. There is always the sweet treat to finish off your lunch or just in place of lunch, lots of home made yummy desserts also made by volunteers. These are just some if the highlights of the actual day of the Fair.

Another event is the opening concert and family dance, that takes place a week or two before the fair.

There is also the ladies pampering day that is held in June, has lots of vendors, information, and the ability to pamper yourself, with a manicure, facial, massage, knowledge of various topics, lots of choices. The pampering day also includes breakfast, lunch and the commodore of being together with family and friends to take a little time for yourself. This year when we looked around, there were many mother daughter combinations within the room. One of those events, once you have attended the first time, you will want to put it on your calendar for next year. Can feel community in the room!
